Amethyst opal aura or amethyst aura is a treated stone. Each piece started as natural amethyst, cut and shaped to the smaller button size  and then placed in a vapor chamber to give the rainbow iridescent coating.  

Rhodium chain,  sterling silver clasp and wire.
